Tuesday the 24th March saw the Drawing to Learn roadshow stop at St Patrick's Primary. As you can see from the examples in the pictures the pupils from St Patrick's had no problems sketching their way to success!

Mt St Catherine's was the second stop for the Drawing to Learn roadshow. This very entertaining and enjoyable day was led by Mr McNeill from St Catherine's College who was ably assisted by his Year 10 group of co-sketchers. Well done to all involved and remember - keep practising!

Pupils from St Catherines aka the "A-team" carried out their latest mission on Tuesday in St Jarlath's primary school, Blackwater town. Along with their class teacher Mr Mullan they taught P6 and P7 pupils how to draw robots. This proved to be very successful and pupils thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The A team now await their next mission, watch this space!

'Drawing to Learn'

Teachers from St Patrick's Primary School, Mount Saint Catherine's Primary School, St Jarlath's Primary school Blackwatertown along with pupil's from St Catherine's College participated in a one day course entitled 'Drawing to Learn'. The aims of the day were to enable teachers and pupils to become more confident in sketching and designing. Eventually this training will be rolled out into the primary schools where it is hoped they will become confident in sketching (robots in particular!) Robot training with Sentinus

GCSE pupils in St Catherines College recently participated in a one day training programme provided by Sentinus. This training in programming robots will allow the pupils to lead a full day of activities involving KS2 pupils from the associated primary schools. The training day which is being provided by Sentinus will be hosted in St Catherine's College. Watch this space for further details.
